It’s a bit boring at the moment

Afternoon Clockenders,

So Bradford beat Villa, but Bradford lost to Barnet on the weekend and Villa beat Liverpool a month ago. Football is indeed a funny game where anyone can beat anyone on their day. It’s amazing to think that Bradford could well be playing in a League Cup final in March. A final that a lot of us would have liked to have seen Arsenal play in. It’s frustrating but that’s football and why we love it. For me watching Bradford play yesterday was pretty horrible because it reminded me of the most embarrassing moment supporting Arsenal.

Anyways enough of that and more on the weekend and Man City. A game we haven’t sold out and with no surprise neither have City. They’ve returned 900 tickets because the price is too high and I applaud this. Something had to give somewhere and hopefully this can change something with in football. I guess you could say the supporters are victims of their own success but when supporters end up forking out around £100 for a 90 minute game which is live on Sky then question have to be asked. We have a full strength team which can only be a good sign and City don’t have Nasri, Toure and Aguero and although they have Tevez, Silva and Co a side missing three players of that calibre can only be weaker. Let’s not forget we also don’t have Gervinho which is great. I remember when we dominated them at home last season and what a great day that was and I expect more of the same and see no reason why we can’t turn them over again and put another dent in their title challenge.

There isn’t much else to say at the moment as it doesn’t seem any transfers are happening in the near future and the Walcott contract situation still drags on. I hope we can see some movement but I doubt it very much, but for me getting Walcott to sign a new contract is the most important thing.

Have a good one Gooners.
