The boss has been questioned on just about everything to do with Arsenal this week, Tom Fox has helped by piping up about not winning, although his words were 100% twisted, but the main question is contracts. The boss has said he believes Sagna is staying, he’s been wrong before, but it seems less likely Walcott will stay.
Whatever anyone says, Walcott will leave for more money, that is it. Walcott can probably get a £5Mil pay day plus £100k a week, potentially £7-£8Mil over 4 years, Arsenal will not be paying him that, and that is the reason he will leave. For me, it will put his career in decline and that is what his decision should focus on. Theo and Wenger have both said it’s down to agents and negotiators, you know it, they are talking money!
It was good to see the U19′s made it through in the next gen series beating Bilabo 4-2 at Barnet. The boys are now into the knockout stages but will need to find some form away from home, in the 3 away matches, you young guns are yet to score. Charles-Cook was the stand out performer in goal and Martin Angha and Thomas Eisfield were excellent too. Eisfield is the next one to push the boundaries of the first team and could earn a start at Bradford on Tuesday.
Tomorrow’s match is vital, we want the 3 points, we need 3 pints. West Brom are well above us and obviously in better form. Podolski, Walcott, Sagna, Koscielny, Santos, and Diaby are all out. The list seems to grow even when we rest players. But those players who are picked need to stand up and play for their jersey. There’s been talk of a Bould blasting, and how they have not been doing their jobs on the field, talk of being frightened to express themselves at home, but it’s getting too late for all that.
Arsenal have a get out of jail free card in that everybody’s form it patchy but at some point soon teams will take themselves away from the pack, whether it’s the top two, then the next two, then the rest, the league will shape up now and leading in January. If Arsenal ride the train it could be us that starts to pull away. A win can put us in 6th and a couple of points of fourth, we are not dead, but we are drifting.
Arsene should go with his strongest XI, Chesney, Jenkinson, Mertesacker, Vermaelen, Gibbs, Arteta, Wilshere, Cazorla, Gervinho, Chamberlain, and Giroud but Rosicky’s form could tempt the boss to play him in the middle with Cazorla up instead of Gervinho. Stranger things have happened and of course there’s the nearly man Rambo, he always seems to suprise me with my line up choices.
ARSENAL NEED A WIN! Let’s get behind the team and keep it all crossed for 4.50pm!
