The immaculate start, 51 seconds in and we’re fucking jumping, it was a speedy attack and Rambo fed Theo who chipped it in from a tight angle to the left of the goal, maybe the help of a deflection, but what a start!
The next action can with Koscielny hobbling off with in a injury and Gibbs coming on at left back. Koscielny has been excellent again in recent weeks and his pace is an excellent foil to Mertesacker beast like qualities.
Everton dominated the next stages of the game and the it was being played at an almighty pace, Rambo was struggling to keep the ball, Cazorla and Sagna were equally as guilty for squandering position and then on 27 minutes it was 1-1. There was a 100% foul on Arteta, what was the ref thinking, the ref gave nothing, Sagna gave it to Fellaini and he smashed it home! Cheers ref! Still Everton deserved it.
The goal seemed to reignite Arsenal but Cazorla’s wide shot was about the closest we went before half time. Walcott and Giroud had shot early in the second half and again the pace of the game rose. Neither team set for the draw and 65 another Giroud chance went agonisingly close. Rambo and Cazorla tested Howard and Giroud put in a cross for Gervinho (on for Rambo) but Gerv fluffed his lines.
The subs hardly inspired from Arsenal and the game petered out. 1-1 at Everton is not a bad result but feels less positive after drawing at Villa Park. Arsenal have no excuses now, with a nearly clean bill of health, starting Saturday it’s time to kick on.
