So it’s Italy v Spain

Gooner James Ward put in a huge effort in his match today against World No. 10 Mardy Fish, the season ticket-less lad took it to a fifth set winning two tie breaks, losing 6-3 in the final set. Ward is number 170 in the world but this season could be his breakthrough season, well done to England’s number 1!!

Mr. Cross has written in The Mirror that he want RvP to repay Wenger’s faith in him. John Cross is an Arsenal fan and he made it clear in the dirty rag he writes for that RvP has had one great season in 8, it’s that sort of theory that have people saying ‘sell him if we can get £30Mil’, what the hell would we do with the cash? Bank it? Money don’t score goals, RvP does! Still whatever Cross’ theory it is nice to see an article that doesn’t say ‘tomorrow RvP will sign for Man Citeh’.

Former Arsenal schoolboy Terry Burton looks set to take Neil Banfield’s role as reserve team coach, he’s up at Sheffield Wednesday as assistant manager but after formally applying is the lead candidate for the job. There is less clarity over the Under 18 job and I have heard a memember of George’s Graham’s coaching staff has applied for that role but whether he’s in the frame is another thing!!

Away from the Arsenal it was the other Euro 2012 semi-final tonight. Italy bossed the first half and Balottelli ripped them apart. 2-nil at half time at Germany take off Podolski, what’s up with that? Luka is one of the few Germans who could really have made a difference. Germany never really threatened Italy. They were just too strong. Germany got a dodgy goal in the 91st minute from the spot but they were just too late. I’ve gotta say I fancy the Italians in the final, they play between the lines very well, Buffon is in great form, De Rossi is playing superbly, and my word Pirlo, he has been magnificent. If Balottelli is fine Italy will win.

At least Podolski can get off on holiday and get back to his new home asap, fit and ready to fire The Arsenal to the title – sorry that was a bit over the top, I mean third place!
