Arsenal 1 v 1 AC Milan

Arsenal looked to coast this game but a lack of efforts on goal as usual let the Italians back in it and ruined a chance for Arsenal to top the group after the earlier 2-2 between Celtic and Lyon.

The damp morning had been replaced by glorious sunshine and the black roof had been lit up by a clock, the ClockEnd is back, long live the ClockEnd. Still the clock doesn’t work yet, someone forgot to wind it up, by how great is to have it back.

Nasri and Wilshere were great from the start and Chamakh was a great threat going forward with great energy and pace. He really is a handful and a big guy too. Gibbs was also linking up well with Arshavin, clearly pushing for his chance to play, pushing Clichy for a place in the team. Vermaelen nearly scored with a header before Chamakh made it one-nil.

It was Arshavin who made the goal, cutting open the defence and giving it to Chamakh to slide home from 12 yards, whoop whoop. Who scored the first goal in the new ClockEnd? Chamakh Chamakh, so good they named him twice.

Arsenal look assured at the back, Frimpong looking strong, and French Tony and the Verminator the preverbeable brick wall!!

The second half was a lot slower and despite a beautiful moment where Chamakh put Arshavin in with a ‘reverse cruyff’ it really wasn’t too much to write home about. Walcott got a run down the middle for the last 15 or 20 minutes but had no supply. Vela also had a mazy run come to nothing.

Milan spoiled the day with a header. Shock lack of organization at the back. It was a Seedorf cross and a Pato header but questions must be asked of the back line. Come on boys we need to tighten up.

A mention for Milan’s best player, Matty Flamini, I was dissapointed with the boooing for him. Personally I stood up and applauded his exit. Well played to a player who has never slated Arsenal.

Beckham gets a big cheer…………but Flamini a boooooooo!!

Arsenal will need to take their chances to lift the Emirates Cup tomorrow. Come on you Gooners.

p.s. looking forward to hammering Arseblog in the supporters tournament at Market Road, why not get down and support the lads. Oh to, Oh to be, Oh to be a Gooner!!

Arsenal: Flapianski, Eboue (Sagna 45), Gibbs (Clichy 45), Vermaelen, Koscielny, Frimpong (Djourou 69), Rosicky (Walcott 45), Nasri, Wilshere, Arshavin (Vela 63), Chamakh (Randall 73).

Goals: Chamakh 36.

Att: 60,012.

I don’t go to pre season friendlies! Why? Because morons go to pre season friendlies, well the majority who go are anyhow. The booing of Flamini was shocking. These mindless idiots just identify him as an Ex Gooner and think “I’ll boo him!” If Flamini was to come to Emirates in a high profile game, I guarantee he’d recieve a heroes welcome. These idiots can’t get tickets for the big games and therefore trudge along to pre season matches, get pissed, and shout provanities at anyone. Well done to those who rightly clapped Flamini. As for the morons, go back back to the pubs, living rooms where you spend the season watching Arsenal and the leave the real support to us, REAL SUPPORTERS! And as for cheering Beckham, I rest my case!
