Yes buy this lad and pair him with Vermaelen in the centre of defence ,should
be a good defensive unit with Almunia able to relax and rely on his defenders for once instead of trying to cover for ball watching clowns the likes of Silvestre ,Campbell,Gallas and Sagna ?

Samuel…you are so right. Half the trouble with our goalies last term was the clowns in front of them. AW has to sort out the back 4…..or I can see a repeat of our “goals against” next season.

vertonghen should not partner vermaelen in defence!! they are both left footers. for ajax, one of them played as centre back while the other played left back… they dont play as a centre back pairing for belgium either!!!

he would be a good signing, a great partner with vermealen as he played for ajax and plays along side vermaelen with belgium now a must buy but no more than 10Mill

If we could get him cheap, he’d be a great utility player to cover a lot of different positions and he might eventually outshine some others.

This Guy is good and the only concern I have is both he and Vermelen are both left footers other than that I would of jumped out of my socks to get him. I still hope this plea is true

He is THE ONLY player we can possibly buy who will fit the team perfectly. He would be cover for Vermaelen, Cover for Song, Cover for Clichy and Gibbs and would start over Diaby in midfield adding a huge amount of steel and balance to the side. He is not 25 either hes 23 and wtf don’t even bother questioning whether hes good or not…

Guys picking on Gallas performance can’t have seen the games, after he was returned to the squad without his captaincy he started playing really well, and has mostly been fantastic since then. injuries prevented consistency in backline last year, but when playing he did pretty well.
