Chamakh cracked in goal number 1 of his Arsenal career from the spot as Arsenal strolled to a win in little Neusiedl.
The game started on the slow side. Arsenal clearly suffering with heavy legs from the hard work they’ve done out in Austria. Captain Manuel Almunia could have seen his goal bulge and go one down as a header was only cleared off the line by Sammy Nasri.
Wilshere was by far the most assured in midfield making the most of the ball and looking to put Theo in behind. Frimpong was a rock in the centre of the park too. Arshavin and Theo combined to test the Austrian keeper but with no go to show for their efforts. Walcott though moments later riffled home for one nil and what seemed like straight from the kick off Gibbs found JET for two-nil. Arsenal had cranked up through the gears to show their class.
Chamakh came on at half time and 5 minutes in he burst through on goal only to be bundled over for a penalty. The Morrocan quickly dusted himself down and slotted home the spot kick for three-nil.
His strike partner for the second half, wearing 11, Carlos Vela was put through with a lovely ball from Nasri on 65 minutes. He made no mistake and sent the gooners 4-up.
Second half keeper Mannone got the chance Almunia was waiting for when Nordtveit handled in the box. The striker sent the ball right but Mannone got to it.
A very comfortable night as the Arsenal now fly home to prepare for The Emirates Cup this weekend.
Arsenal First Half: Almunia, Nordtveit, Koscielny, Djourou (Vermaelen 29), Gibbs, Rosicky, Wilshere, Frimpong, JET, Arshavin, Walcott.
Arsenal Second Half: Mannone, Nordtveit, Koscielny, Vermaelen, Clichy, Sagna, Frimpong, Nasri, Eboue, Vela, Chamakh.

SC Neusiedl vs Arsenal Live Online: Thomas Vermaelen Looking Forward To Premier League Title Challenge
By Kenneth on Tuesday, 27th July 2010
As Arsenal prepare for their next pre-season friendly against SC Neusiedl, defender Thomas Vermaelen has revealed that he is confident that the Gunners can seriously challenge for the Premier League title this season despite the many player movements at the club and the disruption caused by the Cesc Fabregas transfer saga.

Arsenal have not lifted the Premier League crown for six seasons but the Belgian defender believes that is all to change this season, despite the continuing doubters who claim that Gunners boss Arsenel Winger has lost his way with the club.
“The spirit in the camp is good. We have a good young group who are very aggressive and want to improve,” said Vermaelen.
“I think people will always say we can’t compete – it is not the first time.
“We have to do what we always do which is work hard and play our own game. Then we can compete. I hope we can compete for the title this year and I’m convinced we will.”
Vermaelen will have to form a good understanding with new central defensive partner Laurent Koscielny after the latter’s unconvincing start to his Arsenal career in pre-season. The Belgian was one of the few success stories for the Gunners last season after lighting up the Premier League with his move to the Emirates.

He needs to be signed before the weekend to get some game time with the defence.

We need a keeper to win something as we only have championship keepers!
