And there’s nothing you can do, but stand there and take it. Well, you can fuck off twenty minutes before the end, but only fair weather wankers do that.
Arsenal played like an absolute pile of shit yesterday, on the worst possible day with the Mancs in town. I don’t particularly think United played that well, but we helped them on their way ; we were poor in defence, midfield and attack.
Clichy was taken to the cleaners by Nani, following on from his battering by Young at Villa Park midweek. Not sure what we can do here, as I am gutted that Gibbs is out for the rest of the season ; A choice between Traore and Clichy is hard to make. Clichy has been out of form for two years, and I feel he has a bit of a ‘Kolo Toure’ myth about him ; some great performances back in the day, which still seem to be getting him through, four or five years later.
Denilson again watched the game pass him by, he is simply not up to it at the highest level ; Hopefully Diaby will be back for Stamford Bridge, but I fear another thrashing no matter who we put out. There is no doubt we have been spoiled by success for the last ten years, but defeats like yesterday and Chelsea in November hurt me deep down in my soul. I’m sure there are many others suffering at the hands of plastic Mancs this morning, people you have worked with for years who suddenly declare ‘I’ve always been a Man United fan’. It reminds me of a story from the day of the 49ers defeat at Old Trafford, when we were robbed by Rooney’s swan dive over Sol’s leg and the unbeaten run came to an end; As I trudged away from the Theatre of Cockneys, my phone beeped with the first text since the final whistle : It was from a guy I have worked with for FOUR YEARS who chose this moment to gloat and tell me he was in fact a ‘massive Man United fan’, despite us never having had any dialogue on the subject of football in all the time I had known him. Cunt.
The team selection at Stoke and subsequent Cup Exit is now harder to take, as we have fucked up the league games since ; you could argue Wenger should now be resting players from the league for upcoming cup games, but we are already out!
There are so many questions to be asked about the current squad, and only Wenger has the answers.
So, onto Chelsea next week ; Let’s have a good drink and a sing song, and take it from there.
Keep the faith.

clearly the concept of playing resting, especially at stoke has never yielded its desired results and wenger should re-think his selection for future cup games. it is disastrous to rest players for games which you are not assured of winning.I cant pssibly see how arsene thinks he can win the premiership with this current crop of players, he needs to buy a striker and good defensive mid fielder…which he wont do anyway!

what else can we do dude….wait wait wait….

Alright been some while i wrote any comment on arsenal blogs. First off the performance was aweful and they “humilated” us (yes im a fuckin arsenal fan!) just like Chelsea did and then we ran into a good form and everyone was up for it and said we could win the title (I believed too), not anymore. It’s the same old story, MU beating our good run and make our team look like boys and we end up screwing another season up. Yes Arsenal was playing like boys!
Hate how much you want but Evra was right saying it last season. 1st goal was wonderful skill from nani and beat 3 defenders and chip an easy ball but Almunia reacted late and put the ball into his own net. It was PURELY poor goalkeeping, you can see the reply and he reacted late. A schoolboy football mistake. 2nd goal was a simple quick run from the middle by the sherk and denilson was his boy here. He kept running without any intent to close down any incoming players. WTF?!
I switched off the tv just after that and start thinking, it’s all repeating again and again every season. After conciding the first goal Arsenal normally go on wildly and lose another goal whenever they play MU and wenger talks about attitude, mature and stupid lies about his players! 70% of them have no guts and heart! If I was a good footballer and play for a great team like Arsenal I’ll make sure I give 100% in every game and don’t do silly mistakes like that!
I hate to say this but the team and manager is not title winner material. Only cesc, song, gallas, verminator, arshavin and nasri are the good ones. The rest are average and a few are below average (denilson and almunia in particular!). Where are the “we trust in wenger guys?”. Some might say it’s just a game but to be honest losing at that margin to your title competitator and arch rival is not 1 game, it’s a massive blow and I guess it’s 6 years without a single trophy. If i was a Hull fan I wouldn’t care but this is Arsenal
and the fans n club don’t deserve this shit wenger is putting up each year. He trust his players but he has more pride and ego for his phylosopies.
Keep it up wenger, it’s all down to him and his decisions. This will go on and only top 4 is the club’s concern. Highest wages and ticket prices and we just manage to finish 4th each season and with a few more tough games to go we might end up fighting for 4th position yet AGAIN this season! Hopes…that’s all this manager can give us.
I had it enough, for me things will get onto track if :
1. Wenger get the F.off and get a new manager in place of him. I don’t care anyone as long as he have the experience and are not afraid of spending!
2. Wenger changes his FAILED experiments and phylosopies and start buying mens not boys anymore!
I don’t know about you guys but for me this will be the start of downfall for this season like many other previous seasons and we’ll lose cesc and arshavin. Steps in ramsey (not ready) and some unknown kid wenger will buy. The club loves him because he will save them money and finish top 4. I love Arsenal as much as any of you do and
I have been watching them since i know what football was. Wenger is just living his past glories that he didn’t built himself alone, it as “leftovers” and he worked for a few years on them (players). That’s all.
Utterly dissapointed Gooner!

i think you a bit harsh in saying arsenal should sack wenger.but you did make some good points he does need to sign experienced men and not boys.
Block19er on Mon, 1st Feb 2010 12:56 pm
People who think we should sack Wenger a fucking retarded. Ridiculous reaction. Fine you can disagree with Denilson playing, and why not stop going to games until we get Sam Alladyce as manager, but your opinion is totally stupid.
Fact is you celebrated Arsene until Stoke away, now because your work mates are taking the piss out of you, your all upset.
Fuck off retards.
Musselburghmick on Mon, 1st Feb 2010 1:08 pm
SACK HIM ?? Your havin a laugh if we do that a new guy has to get his players in and sell the ones we have !!! So we go back to square one and you expect him to manage this instantly wake up and switch off your games consol . He’s kept us in the top 4 on a tighter budget than most of the div 2 teams never mind premier league. Spending mega bucks doesn’t mean we win every week check out the tossers down the lane for that

Ha ha.. Nice one Block19er. Am I the only person who notices a curious coincidence between ‘doom and gloomers’ and bad spelling?
Dutchgunner on Mon, 1st Feb 2010 2:55 pm
yesterday was terrible, very few of our players showed heart on the field, I’m not usually one to harp on players and call for their heads, but denilson is just horrible, he does not deserve to wear the arsenal jersey, let alone start games. when united were on the break rooney managed to run past half our team into the box where denilson barely paid him any mind as he strode in unmarked and smashed nani’s pass past almunia. Denilson sure stuck his foot in his mouth when he said he would show evra how the arsenal are no longer “boys against men”. Another time in the game denilson had the ball nicked off him and instead of chasing the united player down to get it back he just stood there and let him run off, Alex Song who was further away at the time had to run over and commit a foul on the united player to cover for his lazy team mate. it is this lack of passion and drive that alot of arsenal players were missing on sunday.
Our second problem is Almunia, if le boss cannot see what EVERY other Gunner sees week in week out then as sad as it is to say, hes lost the plot. I had just finished telling my mate we may aswell buy a wackey waving inflatable arm flailing tube man(http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=keI59KRVco8) and put him in net for almunia the way he flaps at crosses and highballs, when nani did his best michael jackson thriller impersonation as he danced past clichy and nasri and flicked the ball in which almunia jumped and alley-ooped into his own net like he was playing in the NBA.

I could go through the whole squad and read out who had a bad game and where this season as could I with manUre, as could I with Chav$ki.
What do you recon the Chavs were calling for Ancelotti’s head at Wigan or the manqs Fergie at Fulham. No. Were the chavs saying that cunt lampard at wigan or the manqs look at that retard fleckchar at sw6. No.
What do we do round on Denilson as the least fashionable play. You dick! As for Almunia I’m sure there are better keepers around the globe, but all of them have mistakes, and who are we going to get? It’s that easy. So simple to sign the best XI out there. Mugs!!
number7 on Mon, 1st Feb 2010 7:22 pm
I don’t see why so many people turn on the team when they should be getting behind them. Aside from the FA Cup we’re doing as expected if not better in the league and we’re still in the champions league.
Come on you Gunners.

block19er you gotta stop abuseing fellow gooners its just there opinion ;.]
mich on Mon, 1st Feb 2010 9:27 pm
I quite agree with Block19er there. NicelyPut. I’m also thinking there may be some problems within the squad that may be resulting in lack of motivation and commitment. But we may never know… Let’s look upward and forward for the next match. Life, indeed, does go on… Go Gooners…

Didn’t Man u lose 4-1 at home to Liverpool last year? It was, as the media said, “the end of an era” and “the start of a new one with Liverpool”. Clever people those reporters and pundits.
Dylan Rance on Tue, 2nd Feb 2010 3:32 pm
But with a couple of signings we could have won the league.
Now we will get the same old shit – we have injuries – well strengthen the squad so we can cope with injuries.
Instead of buying little boys who are not up to it.
Eduardo, Denilson, Vela, Walcott, Merida, Bendtner, Almunia to start are all not good enough to play in a top 4 prem team – they would not get a game at Man Utd, Chelsea, Liverpool, Aston Villa, Man City or Spurs!
It will soon be 6 years and counting without a trophy – if the fans are getting fed up imagine about Cesc – knowing he could be at Bara challenging for trophes – Because he wont stay put for much longer!
Yeah right on Tue, 2nd Feb 2010 6:58 pm
Wengers had his time, he has too much power, only interested in balancing the books, we need fresh blood not a nice looking balance sheet!!
Yeah right on Tue, 2nd Feb 2010 7:01 pm
Because we don’t agree with block 19er we’re all mugs, but you’re the mug for ranting when logical reasons are given for wenger to go!!!!
ClockEnd Ryan on Wed, 3rd Feb 2010 8:53 am
Good point rhaz.
Dylan Rance, I bet you were singing Eduardo’s name when he scored off his heel last year after injury. Everyone said Flamini wasn’t fit for Arsenal as well, then moaned when he left. Everyone wrote off Song as well. Players change, look at Ronaldo and now Nani – not effective at the start, but turn into very effective players.
