This is the first time I’ve had to write this blog since the game against Fulham on Saturday. To be honest it was one of my worst Gooner experiences. I haven’t been around long enough to know the dark days and even when Georgie Graham was boring us to death we were going somewhere so it all felt good.
There has been worse one off games over recent seasons and the away game against Fulham in November 2006 wasn’t much better. Song was terrible that day in midfield and was booed off at half time with Senderos getting sent off after the hour. The fact we’ve sold a couple or players, haven’t won anything for a while, and people are speculating who we should be buying, on top of the Fulham game has really shocked people.
I love going to football and these early days are full of hope. You go and meet your mates for a few bevies around Putney Bridge, everyone is up for it, smiles all around, how many are we gonna get today lads? I was thinking Adebayor hat-trick all the way. Then the game comes and Arsenal do not get going, they go behind to a horrible goal, and never recover, by the time 90 minutes is up, mouths are wide open in shock, how can this be happening? What is happening to my Arsenal. The timing of this game and result could not have been worse.
In my opinion though the booing is unexceptable!! This is game 2 of a long, long, season, why heap more pressure on the lads, we should be SUPPORTING the lads.
Adebayor is an Arsenal player, he will be here come May, what are you going to do, boooo every time he misses the goal. Come on, grab a brain! I am not saying you should never boo at football, I mean if we loose a load of games, we continue to play like this over the next months I would be wondering what had happened to us. But that is NOT going to happen. We are not Tottenscum.
I’d appeal to the Gooners going tomorrow night to join me in a chorus of COME ON ARSENAL, COME ON ARSENAL. That is the song you should be reaching for to pump the lads up, I don’t think a boo will do that, let us get behind Arsenal, your club.
I totally agree we MUST sign a new central midfielder, MUST, and I think we may even need another player somewhere in the squad just to provide some competition and cover for places. I can’t stand Eboue and him constantly playing across the midfield. BUT I do not want to see Wenger go. I love Arsene and what he has done for us. Without him we would not be the pride of North London and I believe we can be the pride of Europe with him.

Some of the calls for the end of Wenger are a disgrace and I am sure some must come from some hermit down the dirty end of the severn sisters. You seriously do not know what you’ve got till it has gone if you think Arsenal would be better without Arsenal.
Wenger will accept critism and he will have gone over and over that game at Fulham. He will have believed Eboue and Denilson could have comanded the midfield and he would have thought Nasri and Theo would have changed possession to chances for Adebayor and Robin to complete. Arsene will make a change on the field and he will try and get us what we want. Afterall we’re all pulling in the same direction or at least we should be.
Cesc is fit for tomorrow, we will win, we will be in the group stage of the Champions League, and Wenger will surround Arsenal in Glory.

Saturday was not that bad for me: As I was sooooo pissed (drunk, not pissed off) I hardly noticed what went on. I spent more time sitting down on my Arse than Pink Hat usual does!! But watching the game on Sunday, we were bad (Fulham were not that much better). We should get behind the team & not Boo them, if you did Boo them on Saturday, you were out of order. As Block19er says, it’s OK to boo after a couple of months of bad performances, but not after one!! I am sure we will be much better tonight. Come on you Gunners.
