Fuck! Shit! Bollocks!!
6 hours to get there, 4 hours to get home, snow, rain, fog, road works. Fucking Shit. The game was shit. Who the fuck goes to Burnley away midweek? Well I ain’t bloody doing it again.
I even okayed it for Anthony Hopkins to travel up with us but I’m not sure he’s Arsenals lucky charm anymore. You can see what he thinks on his facebook page. Not sure if he’ll be coming again, not with me anyway, not till he has his new legs!!
So we get there and Harv’ has forgotten his, Bonds, and Sir Anthonys tickets. He then got called a dickhead by the Burnley ticket office lady who swiftly printed them a new ticket. So they missed the first goal.
I had to fill them in on the fact that when I walked in Almunia was sprawled on the floor grasping at thin air as the ball rolled around to his side. Swiftly we scored and then had 10 minutes of dominance. It looked like we were going to crush them. The goal came as Cesc stoll the ball and finished calmly in the corner.
That was about it for us though. They cranked pressure up down their right. They had easy pickings and Cesc struggled to cover for Silvestre all the time. The pressure told when Vermaelen made a stupid challenge in the box. Penalty. Finished down the middle. Alumnia’s kicking was all over the shop and the whole team imploded. The teams confidence was shot to shit and when Cesc went off the heads dropped.
I was sure Wenger would put Silvestre down at half time. Lets get this straight, were better of with 10 men, then having him out there. Burnley just new to run it out to the right and attack Silvestre. They had it easy. Vermaelen and Gallas were going fucking nuts at him. I think I’ll stay in the pub Saturday if he’s starting again. You can’t legislate for having 3 left backs out, but just because they are, you can’t play someone there who can’t play at this level. We didn’t have it as easy against their full backs who I can’t name. Still going forward we had no spark either.
Walcott could surely step. He started to get the ball. Then loose it. Then he had a chance and missed it, then he scuffed another one, then he tried to shoot the ball out of the ground. Wenger quickly called for Eduardo. Eddie is out of form and the couple of times he did get in, he didn’t know what to do.
Arguably the best chance in the end fell to Gallas. Who had the right hump. His header from 10 yards was shocking.
What a crap night!!

Eboue should have come on for Walcott – He was our best player against Stoke.
Eduardo needs a goal desperately to kick start his season.
I would play Tom Cruise on Saturday would be better than Silvestre

Exactly Dylan, why not give Cruise a go, or Eboue at left back, or Song in the middle and Gallas at left back.
WE CAN’T HAVE A WEAK LINK.
Fair enough people have bad games but even Burnley targeted Silvestre

We’d have won if Denilson had been fit!!!
Silvestre is past it, too slow, we always knew that though. When is one of Clichy/Gibbs/Traore back?
Block19er on Thu, 17th Dec 2009 9:53 am
Traore Hamstring strain for couple of weeks
Gibbs late February
Clichy stress fracture to the back!! Er that says quite a while!!

Fecks sake. Tom Cruise then I reckon, at least he’ll learn, and he doesn’t have a face like a fish.
6 hours back – you must’ve hit bed at 4am then mate?! I got back from Milan in less than 6 hours, and that included being held in the ground for an hour!
Block19er on Thu, 17th Dec 2009 10:25 am
Tom Cruise it is.
I’ll call Le Boss.
