First of all Arsenal do not need a striker as much as they need a defender or a holding midfielder , because it is their defense that usually let hem down more than their scoring abilities. With the eminent return of Bendtner, and the availability of Eduardo, Walcot, and Vela , as well as the possibility of caling up Simpson besides that most of Arsenal goals were not scored by strikers , so who need a forward? . The point is to replace Gallas who is too slow and ineffective, and to sideline Song and till he become equipped to cope with Arsenal elegant game of football, and bring in a holding midfielder and a central defender reliable enough to team up with Vermaelen , and Taylor of Newcastle would be a very good choice that satisfy Wenger’s conditions, or may be put Vrmaelen as a holding midfielder and bring in another two reliable central defenders. To those who want to defend song just look at him twice standing in the way of City’s strikers way in our penalty area , for which Arsenal should thak the referee for not punishing them, or just watch him in any game and see how slow song in taking a decision or w many silly fouls he gave away , let alone his positioning in case of an opponent attack
