Sunderland 1 v 0 Arsenal

So we were all excited about the International break being over, then we come back to this, disaster!!

Absolutely gutted sitting here on my sofa with nothing to do (except laugh at Merse’s Merv Hughes tache!) so we’re in for a dull night round my way!!

I’m not looking at the league table with gloom or anything like that it was just such a flat performance. Sunderland made a game of it in the first half and both teams attacked but most of our shots were from long range. Eduardo and Cesc has efforts, high, wide, and handsome.

Steed the scummer was causing Traore problems and it was looking a bit of a worry. Traore is no bad player but he is rusty, you could tell Sagna and Gallas were knackered, and I had speculated Arshavin wouldn’t play. With the injuries it was just one game we weren’t in.

When Andrey was introduced I really thought it would spark us in to life. It didn’t have the desired effect and Darren Bent scored with  a close range effort. Reid crossed, Bent headed it in to Campbell, it fell nicely for him to score. Very frustrating and we didn’t look like we get back in the game. Theo made his come back and Vela came on for Eddie but it didn’t have an impact. The only hope we had was Vela going down in the box but the ref wasn’t playing.

How bizarre, Arsenal not scoring, first time since May.

We certainly missed the link up play of Van Persie and hopefully the boys can freshen up before Sunday. Come on we need to peg the chavs bag, not for the title, just for us.

What can cheer me up, Everton winning, UFC 106, nah too be honest I’m gonna be in a foul mood till Tuesday.

Arsenal:Almunia, Sagna, Vermaelen, Gallas, Traore, Fabregas, Rosicky (Theo 73), Nasri, Ramsey (Arshavin 59), Song, Eduardo (Vela 73). Subs not used: Mannone, Silvestre, Eboue, Denilson.
